Before & After School Care

Staunton Montessori School offers flexible before school (Precare) and after school care (Aftercare) for families needing care beyond regular school hours. Precare and Aftercare are separately contracted services, designed to meet the developmental needs of both Primary and Elementary students. We call our Precare students the Early Birds and our Aftercare class the Mockingbird community.

Morning Primary students who stay for Aftercare enjoy lunchtime, a rest period, activities, outside time and a snack period. Drop-in spaces, and three and five-day fee schedules allow for more flexibility. Elementary aftercare is also available from 3-6 PM, with activities, outside time and a snack.

Primary Aftercare includes hands-on activities and center-based play to support physical, cognitive, emotional, and language development. Elementary Aftercare offers age-appropriate enrichment such as arts and crafts, games, and movement-based activities.
