Family Involvement

At Staunton Montessori School, we value our partnership with our families. We know that are students’ thrive when there is harmony and collaboration between home and school. Every family is asked to annually give at least 15 hours of assistance to SMS. Families may meet this requirement through various methods.The fulfillment of each family’s hours helps keep our tuition affordable and contributes to our overall sense of school community.

Your family’s requirement may be met through a combination of parent volunteer or leadership/advisement work, errands/shopping, material making, or in-class assistance for special celebrations or events. Throughout the school year the classroom communities and the office will share volunteer opportunities and needs with the SMS community.
