Dr. Montessori was well before her time when she incorporated movement into her educational pedagogy. In addition to the classroom works that encourage movement we want to have more targeted movement activities for our students. We plan to set up a movement shelf in the Primary and Elementary hallway.
This would be a great addition to our elementary movement shelf. The Rocker board strengthens balance reactions, motor planning and coordination skills.
