We’re working to build a campus that reflects the Montessori principle of freedom within limits. Rather than having adults intervene to keep our children safe, we’re preparing the environment to be inherently safe as much as possible.
The playground we inherited had a small fence around the play structure, but was otherwise open to the parking lot. By adding a perimeter fence, children are free to engage in expansive play without being interrupted by an adult.
We’ve also added access control upgrades to various areas including new intercoms, remote access locks for the perimeter gates, and keyless entry systems for various areas in the school.
